Leaking Shower Filter

In regards to a leaky shower filter, there are 2 possible causes…

1. If you have just received your shower filter and it is leaking, it is possible that the ‘o’ ring isn’t fitted correctly, affecting the unit from sealing.

Please try the following…

a. Remove the cartridge.

b. Inside the housing that attaches the shower pipe, the cartridge and the showerhead together, you will see an o-ring with about a 10cm diameter. Remove this o-ring.

c. Run your finger through the groove that the o-ring was sitting in, to clear any debris or filter media that may be preventing the seal.

d. Using your finger, lightly coat the o-ring with shampoo or conditioner (whichever you have handy) and replace firmly in the groove.

e. Re-attach the cartridge and if you require any further assistance, please contact us.

2. If you have had your shower filter for more than 5 months and it is leaking or the cartridge has burst, this could mean the current cartridge has reached its capacity and is filled with chlorine and other contaminants that have been removed from the filter over time.
