Charcoal Grains in the Bath Water
If you have noticed some charcoal grains in the bath water, it’s possible that the plumber didn’t adequately flush the system at the time of installation and some charcoal will persist for the next two weeks.
There is no harm done to the plumbing or appliances, however all aerator screens in the taps should be removed and cleaned after the water begins to run clear.
The aerator is the screen in the end of each tap. There is no need to call a plumber to do this, just unscrew the ends of the taps and remove the screens. Then rinse and scrub them or soak them in vinegar to remove any charcoal grains, and then rinse and soak before reinstalling them.
