Water Reduced to a Trickle

If you are experiencing low water pressure, which is not related to your water supply eg; simultaneous water usage, there are 3 possible causes…

1. Your cartridges need replacing - change the cartridges if it has been more than 6 months since replacement

2. There is sediment in the water – If you are using tank water, you will need to purchase a pre-filter for your Aquasana filter, to order click here

3. There may be a blockage in the filter, you will need to try the following…

(a) Switch the hoses, back flush for 4-5 minutes, then switch the hoses back

(b) Remove the nylon netting and felt pad surrounding the cartridges and hit the surface of the cartridges with a scrub brush

(c) Remove the A-cartridge and check flow. Replace the A-cartridge, remove the B-cartridge and check flow. This will indicate which cartridge is clogged and may need replacing.

If you have tried the above procedure and

(a) your problem persists plus…
(b) the filter is less than 2 months old
